Doosan Enerbility × HanaLoop — Building a Supply Chain Carbon Management System

Challenge: The existing internal carbon management system could not secure product-level supply chain carbon data including supplier information required for CBAM response.

Solution: HanaLoop customized DPCM based on the Hana.eco license and linked it with the existing DPCF system to design an end-to-end flow from supplier data collection to product-level SEE calculation and automated CBAM reporting.

Result: Doosan secured product-level carbon management across the supply chain and reduced CBAM compliance risk by automating manual reporting.

Project Background

Doosan Enerbility had already operated greenhouse gas systems for ETS since 2009 and advanced its product carbon footprint platform. CBAM, however, required a structural expansion toward supplier data and product-level embedded emissions including Scope 3.

Instead of building everything from scratch, Doosan chose to extend a proven solution quickly by adopting Hana.eco and connecting it with the existing DPCF system.

Implementation — Designing the Data Flow

HanaLoop approached the project as carbon data infrastructure for the full supply chain, not as a simple software delivery.

  • Designed supplier data input, evidence management, and automated CBAM notification flows.
  • Mapped supplier data to products and connected it with process data for SEE calculation.
  • Embedded CBAM calculation logic and automated report generation in the system.
  • Supported supplier training and onboarding for practical operation.

Results

Doosan expanded from Scope 1 and 2 management to supplier-inclusive Scope 3, removed spreadsheet-based manual work, and secured both operating efficiency and data reliability.
